Antique Victorian Hinks No 2 Oil Lamp on Corrinthian Column with a Youngs cut facited reservoir/font.
This is Victorian era antique oil lamp is quality with the superb Hinks No 2 duplex burner, with a frosted etched clear globe shade. The reservoir/font is a Youngs and is clear with cut faceted angles around. These together are on a brass Corinthian coloumn that is raised on a stepped square brass base. It of course comes with an antique Sunlight flue/chimney.
The Hinks No 2 complete lamp would look great in an hallway, on a side table or pride of place on the dinner table. As this is a duplex you can choose to use either 1 or 2 wicks to burn and of course they are adjustable to be very bright and high or low and mellow depending on the mood you wish to set.
I have fully refurbished this lamp with original parts and have not had to use any New Old Stock which is a rarity considering the age of the lamp. I have kept the wick that it came with as it is long and in great shape, otherwise I would have supplied a brand new wick.
This lamp is not meant for outdoor use unless in the protection of a summer house, conservatory or similar.
Please use only paraffin in this oil lamp. Do not use kerosene as it burns to hot for the lamp. I recommend the following oils:
